Author 'Gilbair' (Id 235423 ) : I have been very hesitant to call this insect a 'solitary bee', it has the size, the color and the abdomen is quite similar to the apis melifera', but the position of the wings at rest is different and the volume of the abdomen appears larger. This is not in all cases a bee building as it has a sucker mouth and no mandibles to take away from the damp earth where I observed in the train of drink. Mud, that is all that remains of a pond once a population of insects, frogs, newts and dragonflies, along the edge of the airfield Montricher.
