Very interesting! We had this beautiful specimen in our town of Laon in Picardy, and thank you for your site that allowed us to put a name on this rare butterfly in our area.

: 4:: 5:: 6: I live in the Vosges, near Gérardmer and every morning and evening, I visited two sphinx moths in my flower pots and is a delight to observe. Bravo pour cette jolie photo, because when we know how fast this butterfly move, we must act quickly to capture. Thank you.

It is beautiful, the contrast of colors is appreciable, and the photo gives us a good idea of the speed at which beats its wings.
BRAVO !

Great, we can see the rapid movement of the wings. It may be that a framing tighter would be better in the subject

I observe a very regular basis, among other things, these insects and I find that this photo is very successful and very realistic.

Beautiful photo, for a butterfly super-fast which makes me think of hummingbirds.

Given the speed of this butterfly, it is a performance to have it fixed through the lens.

My dream : being able to shoot a ! Your 'Moro-sphinx' or 'Bird-hummingbird,' (Macroglossum stellatarum) is well captured in the process of sucking the nectar of all these small flowers lilac color of the 'Buddleia of David' (Buddleja davidii), the fameur 'butterfly'. Bravo and thank you.

Christian, frankly, I congratulate you because it is not easy to take a photo of it. I try, but it moves so much that I abandoned.

Hello Géna, I really had a hard time getting this shot, I must say that it is thanks to the amazing capacities of the small compact from Panasonic, the TZ1 that this stereotype exists. I would have made it much more difficult to do this with my DMC FZ30. Thank you for your encouragement.

Framing tighter to me seems more interesting. It should be cut down and left with the format 1280/1024 or 1024/768.
