Spider crab Crab spider

Author 'Gipsy34' (Id 195331 ) : After research, it would be a spider crab or thomise. I've read that these little beasts were changing colour depending on their support to devour the foragers. But it has not gone unnoticed with his livery yellow blaze on a thistle flower.

To be precise, it is a Thomisidae, a spider-crab... his name is Thomisus onustus !
Then, for the color, the thomisidae can change color relative to the support but it is limited to shades of white, yellow and greenish... these are still not chameleons !!! We may find that it is a bad camouflage here, but it is our judgment ! It is not known how insects see that scene !!!
Very nice shot in any case... Bravo !

Oops, you're right... but where have I head this time ? Probably already on vacation
You go in Britain, it seems to me ? Unless I confuse it with another feïste ?
Still, if you meet a member, give him big kisses from me please.
And I wish you a very good holiday.

Never seen a spider yellow this One is nice and sharp, and color of the slices well on that of the flower

> Candy [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 09, 2013
Hello Josy, I've never seen this pretty little spider. Your photo is really very beautiful.

> Nicole.barberon [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jun 09, 2013
This spider, which emerges beautifully on the petals purple is a great sharpness. Amazing that this thomise was not married to the colors of the flower !!! Josy and thank you for this beautiful image.

Yes, Josy, it is the spider crab also known as the thomise. It often has a prey in its legs, and is here in a position to watch. Going to need that it adopts the color of the flower, if she wants to catch something . It is clear and well-positioned for its development and its intense yellow, contrasting nicely with the purple of the holder I would have seen more to the left, without the other flower and it was a small moment that I had not seen noise on your shots

Thank you for your passage and your coms Isa. For the noise I'm at 80 ISO and I rest. I think it was just a bad setting. But then I had to close this lovely little beast yellow.

> Jasmin [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 08, 2013
It is surprising to see a thomise yellow on a flower parma. She had forgotten that she had the ability to change colour to blend in with its environment. Nice contrast of color.

Ben yes, but otherwise I wouldn't have seen from far away. Thank you for your passage and your coms.

> Guylaine [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 08, 2013
It contrasts with the color of the flower of this spider. Beautiful photo.

> D.marsim [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 08, 2013
A beautiful macro, and the spider crab yellow goes well with the purple colour of the flower.

> Kaenafelix [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jun 08, 2013
Josy, what a contrast of colors nice... the spider crab has not had time to dress up...

> GAUDE J-M [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 08, 2013
Nice macro with a good net for vivid colors, bravo. Jean-Mi.

> Perronnet Catherine [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 07, 2013
your photo is very beautiful, and the harmony of colors is very toned, but the spider is a little mixed up the paint brushes to change colors !!!
