Author 'Chrisostome' (Id 127884 ) : Last picture of the castle of St Germain de Livet which, if inspired The Varende leaves no visitor indifferent. With this light of late morning, the wing has a checkered superb revival which is reflected in the water of the moat and justifies, by itself, the adjective "jewel of the Pays d'Auge" attributed to the monument.

I've just taken a few to watch with a gun 5DMKII and I can say there is a slight decrease in sharpness compared to the newcomer but the quality and detail are there.

You're certainly right, Golondrina, even if verticality not always characterized most buildings with 5 centuries. But the "jewel" seems, indeed the term most appropriate to the castle. And I have fun because I'm sure no ABF (architect of buildings in France) would accept a construction of stone like the Renaissance wing, next to the manor of the XV.
