St patrck 5th Avenue

Author 'Briant' (Id 155649 ) : Built between 1853 and 1878, the St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York is the largest cathedral in the United States. Its dimensions are 123 meters long and 84 meters wide and its highest point is 101 meters. Located in the district of skyscrapers of Midtown, in the heart of Manhattan, it is at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 50th Street, just steps from Rockefeller Center, I could not resist the contrast architectures.

The decline a little light (just on the other side of the 5th) did not allow me to do better.
Maybe if I had been located on the second floor of the building that faces it might have been a little better.

Nice contrast between the old church and the buildings. A pity that the framing is not better adjusted.

I understand that mountain side, the island of Manhattan is a bit flat, although planed by its inhabitants during its history, the north was much higher than it is now. Thank you.

Just a slight lack of perspective: the view is taken from the other side of the "street" (actually the famous 5th) where the "little" perspective distortion of the image Thank you.
