This Photo was taken on 2012. 09. 05 in Paris ' 10th and 19th.
The photo of the city of Stalingrad was captured from the documentary apocalypse. It is a large shop in the city where general Von Paulus had installed his headquarters. This day of January, 1943 the cameraman is among the soldiers who are advancing to capture the general.

Fertile and fruitful, there's no denying that The military destroying civilians rebuild : it all makes a lot of dust and the sky is all filled

And the dust is still there 70 years later. But it is the crane, the emblem of the future, which I decided to do the installation.

But is it functionality, this crane... with all the dust that has been deposited on the cables ? I think I would prefer to still have a white sky
Good, without a laugh... what is this sky caught ? It makes me think of my slides (which date back to the 80's...).

The crane is on the current photo, we built a building on the corner of the rue du faubourg saint Martin and the place of the battle of Stalingrad. Moreover, such cranes did not exist at the time, and even less to Stalingrad during the battle.
The sky is that of Stalingrad in January 1943 filmed by a Russian cameraman, of course it is very damaged by the time. I just posted a retouching that will answer all your questions.

A MF01 line 2 - Nation-Porte Dauphine. Lines 5 and 7 pass through Stalingrad also, a station located at the boundary of the 10th and 19th arrondissements of Paris as well as reported in the intro. Two eras, two worlds that the author has made to coexist skillfully. You have fertile imagination, Spiros

It is in seeing on the site of the battle of Stalingrad a crane rising above the ruins that I had this idea. However, I am not the first person in the district, these historical associations are common.
I refer you to my photo 'the Bastille to Jaurès' with the stained glass from the metro station Jaurès (see the retouch of the photo-related).
