Thank you for your nice comment but this is a sunset that is worth as I do about 800 m of altitude difference to climb to the top of the Sainte Victoire, a place where the view is magnificent and largely compensates for all the efforts it requires.

Fantastic colors and a framing adapted well to restore the atmosphere of this sunset

This is one of the magics of this mountain to be seen from very far away, I see it several times a year since the Sainte-Victoire mountain, this gives each time an extraordinary show, on my gallery FEI I've put a few photos of the Canigou vu de Sainte-Victoire (278 km between the 2 mountains).

the emphasis is on the superb burning sky, but the rest of the landscape visible also establishes the link with the land

Exactly, and it is the mistral and the tramontana, which has cleaned the sky to allow for extraordinary visibility.

Good choice of format that only keeps the horizon, and the flaming...

The light before his departure spreads through the layers of clouds, is reflected in a water dark and quiet, a dream landscape that I appreciate very much.
