The Creac h of Ushant

Author 'Gélinotte' (Id 208583 ) : I don't think being the first to present to you this lighthouse is very recognizable by its black and white stripes, from the island of Ushant ; we only see him from all sides, he was a neighbour, a small mill barley that has been rebuilt, identical to the hundreds that existed on the island in the past. Although the blue sky was not at the rendezvous, I can assure you that this was a real treat to walk on this island, very flowered in June.

Thank you Didi for this nice comment, this is the 'corner' of France nearest you !!! The island of Ushant is located off the tip of Brittany, to one hour or more of boat... It was the first that we were going there and we loved it. Thank you Didi, you put it in your favorites.

Ralala what your photo makes me regret not having been able to go on the Island ! But this is only a postponement : the Britain I love.
Nice photo well composed with the diagonal of the buildings.

Do not regret Charly since you will come back !!! It is like me, I think I go back because I really loved the coast of North Finistère, there are beautiful beaches, and Ouessant,... in the fall by major storms, it should be great, but it should stand
Had you looked at my little video on Brittany on FB ? (it is easy to find as I publish almost anything).

During this trip, have you met Domi ?
Thank you for this beautiful composition.

Well, no, Gena, I have not met Domi. I think she is on the side of Nantes, right ? But I might be able to meet with Jean Luc LEBORGNE who, obviously, lives in Finistère. To 15 mn of my photo titled : 'flowers, a white sand beach, rocks... '.

Thank you Almarie for your comment, I am happy to share with the Feïstes the beautiful landscapes of Ouessant.

Obviously I do not know this beautiful lighthouse and at his side a very nice mill. You show us a beautiful landscape.

And yet, it is the most close to the Canada since this island is located off the tip of Brittany. View of the sky it looks like a turtle (a little bit with a disability ) swimming ! It is very wild and very beautiful, it is a highly dangerous place for navigation (passage of 5,000 vessels per year), it is so reported by 5 headlights the lighthouse of the Créac'h the fire of his lantern has a range of 32 miles, which is about 60 km !!! And a fog horn that brings to 18 km !
That's it for the history of the Créac'h
I thank you for coming to do a small tour !

Beautiful place isn't it , I would have a very good memory of this island of Ouessant, and thanks for the reminder with this beautiful framing, well composed. Bravo.

Thank you Tintin for your visit, I saw, indeed, that you were one of the few 'féïstes' to be gone. I loved this discovery and dream only of returning by a great storm but I fear the crossing !!!

I love the composition with the lighthouse and the windmill, well composed and a parterre of wild flowers in the foreground.

Ninik ! This is not so far from Belgium she deserves a little detour to this island
> Perronnet Catherine [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 25, 2014
this sky elegant gray corresponds more to the atmosphere of your photo is a sky stupidly blue I really like the various elements of your composition : flowered meadows, lighthouse, mill, and white houses.

Hello Catherine, thank you for your comment, I don't know if you know of Ushant ? But, I invite everyone to go there, if only 2 days, at this season, it is decorated with flowers, there is not too much wind for 'pedalling', not too much of the world ; it is wonderful ! My curiosity has been served ! There is a photographer, Philip PLISSON, who has made photos during the storm this winter, they are beautiful, and you can see them by going to his website :
I wish you a great day

Superb panorama of this beautiful landscape, the foreground flower is beautiful, and these three monuments stand out well under this beautiful blue sky. and thank you.
> Mady [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 25, 2014
A view of Ushant on the land side full of charm, with a nice rendering on the grey sky as it also happens sometimes
> Gipsy34 [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jun 25, 2014
Nice photo of this lande bretonne in full bloom with a beautiful sky. I love the composition with the lighthouse and the windmill. I know nothing about this little corner of paradise. Thank You Monique.

This is a very beautiful scenic of this landscape, smells of the sea. The life is in this photo by the elements that compose it

Hello Francis, Oh yes, it smells like the sea ! No pollution here, I think that in winter, you must have the wrong pedal, (this is definitely too flat for you ), and stand upright
Thank you Francis for your passage and your passage.
> D.marsim [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 25, 2014
Beautiful composition of these three elements, the diagonal leads us to the lighthouse

Thank you Danièle for this comm. Flattering ! Regardless of where we are on this island, practically, we can see the 'Créac'h', it is very beautiful with stripes.
> Jofu [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 25, 2014
Three monuments presented on a line undulating, and a foreground flower to a result that is quite pleasant. Monique.
