Ah ! It is sure that it should not fall down dry ! Because you dessèches on site but this journey will remain etched in my memory by the beauty of these landscapes, and sometimes there were beautiful sand dunes. I will also, of what not, put a photo on the site to continue the route...
Thank you France for having made a little journey with me.

> Labrume [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply May 13, 2013
It is worth to make a good reserve of fuel before the crossing of this place, the stations must be rare...
In all cases, this landscape is as strange as beautiful.

Thank you for your passage Rinou55 ! I saw that you had gone to the Seychelles, cool ! Besides, I've admired your photos which remind me a bit of the New Caledonia.
As to the valley of death, I can tell you that it is very very hot, I think it is the 2nd place in the world where the recorded temperature (in 1913) was greater than 56 ° !!!
The 1st being in the desert Libyan in 1922.
I tell you soon.

Thank you Louise for choosing this spectacular landscape is almost lunar !!! Actually he must be burly and tough as nails to survive in this desert. Have you noticed the 2 people on the tiny path down to the left of the photo ? They give an idea on the scale of this panorama.

Thank you Cricri60 for this nice comment ! You see me happy to make you travel (you know about FEI, the whole world has an intimate knowledge of !)
The valley of death : the harbinger, fact or fiction ? I believe reality, alas, at the time of the gold rush, the 'adventurers' are not out.
The landscape is beautiful I've tried to burn it in my brain, fortunately, there are photos to refresh the memory

Cricri, I see that you are a 'new' registered, you can introduce yourself by going on the forum it would be nice ! And then I noticed that you didn't have a photo in your 'favorites' which allows you to find easily the photos that you like, for this when you put the photo in large to 'admire' before you make your comment, you click on the tab I LIKE red in the photo to the left. And you can be a gallery with the photos that appeal to you.
It was just an information
Very good day

Superb landscape that inspires even a little mistrust because of his name and the austerity of the terrain.

Like you're right Charly to be suspicious for I would not like to spend a week there walking !!! But, you see I came out 'alive'
In any case, I am very happy that your choice falls on this landscape is absolutely magnificent !

In October when we went there, I remember a good lukewarm also As you say, better to have a reliable vehicle. Your photo is transcribed faithfully what I saw. The presence of both ants is a big plus

Thank you very much Lumixane of your 'visit' ; I am happy that this image awakens some memories. I try to post photos that reflect exactly what I saw ; that is the whole point, no ? And yours ? They are where ? You didn't have your APN ???

Our trip dates back to 2005, I balbutiais in the photo, equipped with a small Olympus, I'm not able to find the or the taken of the place that I have posted on the subject, they were not very good. By cons you can see linked to that of Tsouret making of Zabriskie point also, in a broader plan

Ah ! OK, I thought you had been there last October ;
Thanks for the tip on photos of Tsouret, I had already spotted he / she has posted beautiful pictures, those of Bryce are gorgeous ; we, too, have had the snow, I would say the snow storm and the sky very bottom, and then... oh miracle ! (looks like Tsouret) a small thinning was allowed a few pics.
Good day and thank you again.

> Ninik [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply May 08, 2013
Wow, that is impressive. With these temperatures, life must be rare. And yet I saw a story on TV about animals that can survive in environments as hostile. This is fantastic.

Thank you Ninik of your little tower in the american West !!!
There is life, more than 400 species live in this desert environment, birds, lizards, snakes, mammals, etc...
Lake Powell is longer than Belgium ?? It doesn't surprise me, everything is so huge in the USA !
Thank you for your choice

A beautiful image, well built with beautiful reliefs and successive plans to the different shades, soft and harmonious. The mist, in the background, a testament to the heat that you talk to us. On the small trail to the left, I seem to see 2 characters . They look like ants in this immensity

Isabelle, actually, you have seen well ! The tiny people that I didn't even noticed when I made this shot !!! (but, I have an excuse : I am nearsighted as a... and I was amazed by this grandiose site)
The shades that mother Nature has applied to have in the rocks are fantastic ! It is truly an 'artist' too !!!
Thank you for choosing this artwork (not mine ! One of the nature ! )

Pretty landscape, the grey dominates with elegance, the successive plans to bring depth and light sculpts with precision the terrain, well done. Jean-Mi.

Thank You, Jean-Mi ! You have a very nice view on this beautiful landscape, have you noticed the people on the trail in the bottom left of the image ? They allow to better appreciate the extent ; as for the colours, they are absolutely natural, as I've seen, I don accentuates almost never my photos, it is the same for lake Powell, I looked at other photos that appear on the side but I did not see the lake with colors also ocrées !!!
In any case, thank you very much for having chosen this natural beauty
