The Holocaust memorial

Author 'Jofu' (Id 212948 ) : The Memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe also known as the Holocaust Memorial, is a monument located in the centre of Berlin, between the Brandenburg gate and the Potsdamer Platz, perpetuating the memory of the jewish victims exterminated by the nazis during the Holocaust.
It is composed of stelae 2, 42 m length, 0, 95 m in width, and from 0 m to 4, 7 m in height. They are intended to produce an atmosphere of unease and confusion, representing a system assumed to be ordered that has lost touch with human reason (source : Wikipedia).

Your photo of these blocks, which reflects well this that it evokes. We did not have these wars here. And I hope that never it will happen... And also for all countries of the world. Unfortunately, the man does not understand anything. There are still and always

Your observation is unfortunately very true Guylaine. Thank you for your passage.

Very beautiful composition in which we remember that never ever you must not forget these horrors and transmit to future generations

You're right Daniel, but alas, in the light of international developments, the madness of men is always at work. Thank you for your passage.

Beautiful look...
The blonde, the warmth ready to be engulfed by the cold and the austere stone inert... strong Contrast...
Always a lot of creativity in your eyes Joel.

When I saw this person between the stelae, I've only had to place it correctly in the viewfinder. The photo was simple to perform. Thank You, René.

A photo whose composition recalls how much one is small before the immensity of the massacre.

Your comment is very fair, Charly. Thank you for your passage.

The future is written in the past. It should be remembered always and constantly be on the alert because the peace is, unfortunately, very fragile. But beyond the recollection that he must have, he must also think of those people who perpetuate the crimes to ideologies without any foundation. The two major wars have taken many of our parents. I think of my maternal grandmother, who between 1914 and 1918 has lost her husband and his five brothers brought in this huge swirl of the madness of the great of this world. These are cousins that I would have never, I am the only son. Then JOFU your photo is a glowing testimony not to forget, never to forget. See you soon for other photos, Joel. Marcel.

Thank you Marcel for your comment moving. During the 'Great War', all the families have been affected, particularly yours. It must be the der of the der, we have seen what it has given. I think that the leaders will never be the lesson given by the cataclysms of the past ; that the horrors suffered by the many peoples of the world. If the leaders and those who are operating do not retain the lessons, it is not necessary that the people entrust their fate to adventurers of all kinds. Never forget yes, alas, too many people forget or falsify the history, cf the projecting recent of a journalist who in my opinion should have been prosecuted for telling such whoppers. Thank You Marcel.

It is a beautiful shot documentary and artistic. Jofu TB. Treatment N&B would be to try it out for this kind of image.

I tried the N&B but I thought that this picture was almost B&w and she talked to me more ; I may be wrong. Thank you Tintin for your passage.

I had not finished reading your presentation that, already, I felt the discomfort that you talk about, in the end. This malaise needs to be, yet, more 'palpable' by bad weather. These stelae dark, arranged without any apparent logic, are disconcerting and lead to reflection. By 'walking around' out there, we should feel totally disoriented. This blond head seems almost incongruous in this cold universe, but I assimilerai to a ray of the sun. Let's not forget ! (TB).

This discomfort is palpable when you walk among the headstones and also far realizing that the whole is immense. Thank you for your passage Isabelle.

During this war, my grandfather, who was about to take the train to take my mother (young) at the hospital of Nancy, Nancy, almost get arrested by the germans. His best friends had sold. Luckily a buddy had him talk about the situation because I would not be in the process to comment on this beautiful photo.
Nice graphics !

Remarkable shot very graphic, with this blond head emerges, lost in this maze, as it may be in our lack of understanding of the lunacy that takes hold sometimes men.

I remember to have seen this memorial during our visit to Berlin and the impression of uneasiness was so great that I could not take a picture. You've done it, and, very well :

Julie says so well the things that I always have difficulties to comment on a photo after it. Yes, the walk between the steles and the vastness of all take guts. Thank you Monique for your comment.
