The Koutubia Marrakech

Author 'Gélinotte' (Id 209360 ) : The great mosque of Marrakech (12th century) dominates the city with its minaret of 69 m of height without the lantern. The esplanade is round, I chose to center this minaret ; I don't know if this will appeal
I found this photo taken in 2008, because I'm trying to make a small video of this wonderful time

Hello Sophie thank you for noticing the framing I had just found the 'trick' to achieve it.
Thank you for your nice comment and for your bet in favorites.
I wish you a nice day

Excellent framing Just a little flat I found a lack of brightness ?

Cuckoo Caledonian then ? This is for when the Morocco ??
Yes, I do believe that there is a lack of brightness, my friend France (Labrume) I was, also, noted, I went to 'inform' on Photofiltre and it is true that it is better. Too late In fact, when I saw this picture, (a little old !) I liked the framing, and then the deep blue of the sky... that is, why she is found on FEI !
Thank you for your passage and your comment is very relevant Kisses

A very nice photo of this mosque, which dates anyway. The colors are superb.

Thanks Guylaine, a small hello to the Moroccan : this is fun !
Yes, this are the colors that have made me appreciate at this photo again, and then, the 'decor' of course !

Of the exotic in this beautiful view of the Koutubia Marrakech. TB. Go back a little in levels to lighten the image.

Thank you Tintin for your comment rich-in-council, I will go and try to give it to the light, though... the colors are a little dark which I have 'typed in the eye' in the seeing.
> Labrume [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jul 26, 2014
Oh yes, hazel grouse, a video would be welcome I love the colors of Morocco.
> Lilou G [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jul 25, 2014

Thank you Lilou for your nice comment, I found that this presentation was well out the colours and the imposing minaret.
> Ninik [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jul 24, 2014
Superb shot. The affliction, with the guides in the cars, is that they do not stop often at the best place to take a good photo and you don't have the time to get away to choose a place that is more favorable.

Hello Ninik, thank you for your comment. Except that here, we had no guide, we were walking both our own and it is this that was good. Our first trip to Morocco was a circuit over 15 days and of course, we had a super guide, only, I was still stuck on my 'hunger' in Marrakech where we had stayed 2 days ; then, a few years later we returned for a week to deepen.

I love Marrakech, and your shot is very nice, well centered, nice photo.
> Sailor [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jul 23, 2014
A well-known landmark of Morocco, but very well framed and framed.

Thank you Bruno, it is nice to be time to take a short break in Marrakesh When coaching, let's say... I thought it was more 'value' to the decor by insisting on the dominant colors.
Good evening and thank you again for this comment.

It's been a long time that an inhabitant of Marrakech I was invited to stay in his palace.
To see your pretty photo Monique, this country should boast of magnificent sites.

Don't hesitate for a second Géna, dark... Marrakech is very nice, very inviting, I love it, I have been there 2 times, and I would gladly return. Thank you for your visit

I saw it in 1976 and 1980. Beautiful memories
Your view is well composed, I do not remember to have seen this rounded off at the time. Softness of the late afternoon The frame is a bit too imposing, I would have dropped by half, but to each his own

I'm happy to have 'revived' your memories !!! Regarding the framework, I insisted on the dominant colours, and I found that my picture was better as well... but hey, tastes, colours... In any case, thank you for your comment and your setting favorites.

this is a choice of presentation completely valid in my eyes, your photo is all in soft colors is very beautiful and done wonderfully highlights the impeccable architecture of this mosque.

Hello Cathy and thank you for this comment, let's say that when I watched again these pictures from 2008 ! (anyway !) I had a blow of heart for this one, I like the gradient in the sky which highlights the ochre of this beautiful minaret.
Thank you for your update in favorites.
> Gipsy34 [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jul 22, 2014
Me it pleases me, no problem for the minaret centered. It is nice these ochre colors on the blue of the sky. Thank you for this nice photo.

Thank you Nadia for your visit to Marrakesh this photo represents the colors of Marrakech : ochre for the buildings, the green of the palm trees and the blue for the sky.
I love this city very intimidating.
> Jofu [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jul 22, 2014
The symmetry seems to me wise to put in value the minaret. The colors that you reproduce in the framework are pleasant with a nice transition from the sand to the blue. Tell me, Monique, your pictures were already very good prior to your arrival on EIF ; as for the video, you've got a little delayed

Thank you Joel for your compliments
'there is a lot of delay for the video' : yes ! But I just 'pull out' how to do it, it's just that... I'm not young any more and I have a hard head
