The Little Brother of the Arctic

Author 'Chasseur de temps' (Id 195858 ) : This is not by chance that the LPO has chosen the image of the atlantic puffin as an emblem after it began by raising public awareness on the organised massacres which would lead to the disappearance of this species in our territory.
I chose for my part to share some of the images that I have had the opportunity to do on this subject, will they to make you understand the charm under which I fell ? You have to say.

Stunning photo of bird. In addition it is the emblem of the LPO. The birds are living beings, and who are there for us to marvel. The bird and clearly visible in its entirety. Thank you for this nice photo. Stay tuned for more photos. Marcel.

Oh, I understand you Friend ! It's not going to be easy to comment on all these beautiful images, but I'm going to watch this bird in all the seams !

It is alive and well in the côtes d'armor, in front of Perros Guirec very precisely on the island of Rouzic, one of the seven islands of the archipelago of the same name. Two hundred pairs of atlantic puffin have tucked away in 2011.
By contrast, in Iceland its presence is valued at nearly three million couples is 50% of the world population.

I would have liked to respond to you individually but as I said this morning and for some reason that I don't know still I can't activate the function 'Reply to this comment'
Isabelle is right, the atlantic puffin is present in Britain but in much smaller proportion than in Iceland, where it can be found in different places. It is therefore more easy to approach in a condition of being in the right place at the right time. June, the beginning of the mating season is in my opinion the most favourable. This is the time when the puffins will be taken at the level of the beak and legs this look and these colors will be less photogenic after the birth of the small (a single egg per couple, and 6 to 7 weeks of incubation).
It should be noted that the puffin is sheltering in a burrow gallery that penetrates horizontally into the cliff and in which will be born the small. the

I see that you have still a nice trip and the puffin-monk is beautiful, I have always loved this bird, no doubt for its beauty and its strangeness, we can say that it does not go unnoticed, is this a good for him if he was in danger of disappearing ? What a pity it would be ! Thank You Yvon !

Too cute this bird, the color of the beak and around his eye in harmony with these webbed feet, thank you for this picture story and I look forward to the rest of the trip with impatience

You guess right but I do not understand why the answer that I have written since the receipt of your comment does not appear here or for what reason I don't currently use the formula 'Reply to this comment'
I am still under the 15 days during which we have never experienced night ?

Of course, that one is charmed by this beautiful bird, if atypical, and that always seems to have a sad look. It is called parrot of the seas and it also resides in the colony on the seven islands in Brittany. You we related here, a beautiful image

A month without photos and a wonderful series that is offered to us. I guess you get a nice trip. These three photos are beautiful and unusual. What a beautiful bird in a wild landscape as I love them.
