The School In 1910

Author 'Charly' (Id 228644 ) : I took my time machine and here I am back in class... in 1910, this time, with the coal stove, the ink in purple ink, the panels of wood and in a corner the shoes of the students and the teacher.

Moral of the day : 'When I arrive late, I excuserai. '
Small problem : A train leaves Paris at noon. It is travelling at 24km/h 15 hrs another train leaves in the same direction and is travelling at 36km/h. at what time and at what distance from Paris, the second train will catch up with the first ?
Hop, hop, hop, off to work !
(PS : In the glass-enclosed cabinet, two 'ghosts' appear ).

I love the brightness of this photo The treatment is wonderful. Even if I'm still a little young, it reminds me of my classes in private school where at the end of each year, it was necessary to clean and Polish offices Charly.

I was in the class of my kid this week and it has not so changed as that.
Of course, the keyboards are more Swedish design with a sleek and are probably less reliable than those on your photo.
For the rest, the position of the office of the master, the card, the blackboard... the digital world is far from having replaced all of that.
Good I it short, hoping not to have made too many mistakes dortografe otherwise my former masters may not be happy with me .

Beautiful photo of a time that I have not known to illustrate the back-to-school.

A beautiful classroom with these desks old. Nice treatment of hdr, which goes well with this type of image.

for this beautiful photo of news Charly. Like the others, my classes at the primary school similar to that one, but I was not wearing clogs.

Oup's there, what back of course... I have not experienced any of it Thank you Charly for this beautiful image of another century ; for the problem, I am waiting for the response Joel... not too keen on me digging... , yet : 'laziness makes everything difficult...' I'm going to try a clever calculation... I think it catches up to 21h at 216 km ???

Monique, it is the correct answer. You deserve to be received at the 'primary school certificate' of the past.

I'll be back on your photo to extend my comment, not on the photo itself, but in your presentation in which you cite a maxim. Here are four other encountered in a book of student from the beginning of the last century on the job :

'The cure for boredom is work.
Laziness makes everything difficult, and the work easy.
It was always recreational when one knows how to care.
The pleasure of fatigue, the rest bored, the work occupies. '

It was not in the shade at the time.

You know in the same museum, I saw a poster touting the nitrate of soda in the agriculture. We are now aware of the consequences.

Class in 1910 ? I would have thought not so old Charly.
Nice treatment to this class quite similar to those I have known in the 50's but without the hooves.

A bit of nostalgia. In 50 years, we have also known the black board, map of geography, the ink, the stove... I know the solution of the problem . Beautiful picture, .

The trains spend more at slack in 1974 my parents moved to go live in France and I had the pleasure of knowing this kind of class, black board, same table but in two-seat, wood-fired oven... the hooves less . The photo is
