The Sunset Crater volcano

Author 'Gélinotte' (Id 195074 ) : Sunset Crater located to the NE of Flagstaff, Arizona, is an extinct volcano whose last eruption dates back to approximately 1000 years. The landscape still retains traces of this cataclysm, with impressive lava flows. It owes its name because of the tasks reddish formed by the oxidation of iron and sulfur. Some vegetation tries to break through these lava fields.
This site really deserves a detour.

Oh ! But yes, you're right, a small mesh to contain the white cloud, good idea. You see I have a lot to learn !!! !
I thank you very much for having browsed my gallery.

As I no longer have the energy necessary for such 'expeditions', it is with great pleasure that I admire the photos of these places that fascinate me. A small border would have contained the part of the white sky.

Thank you for your visit Géna, its last explosion dates back to approximately 1000 years, he seems to be asleep for a good time !!! These landscapes are very surprising.

Beautiful image of this landscape, with this tree stands for 100 years ? This is not a little weird ? I would not trust the off the volcano. They are still as dormant as I could see, and often they may even after a thousand years to wake, from what I've heard in broadcasts. I believe that we are immune to nothing on our beautiful but dangerous planet.

Yes, of course Alle, it is necessary to be cautious in these places, but I dare to hope that specialists need to monitor the sleep of these volcanoes ???
Thank you for your passage.

Landscape of desolation in the foreground, then it is felt that the vegetation resumes its rights on the flanks of the volcano. Your shot I like even more that I will never in this place. Then I keep it in my favorites. Thank You Grouse.
