The Wheels Of Hama Syria

Author 'Romaric' (Id 69445 ) : Syria, the Wheels Of Hama :The wooden wheels, or Noria, used until recently to draw and distribute in the habitat or crop the water of the Orontes river. These days they are a few months of the year to revoire the original appearance of the city. The largest measured 26 m high.
To the right of the lauriers blancs.
Not easy to locate Syria : Hama is close to the Mediterranean sea, in the upper left corner of the Island of Cyprus.
To Zoom back, if necessary.

The place is very nice, water and greenery, it's very nice. Wheels similar, smaller in diameter with blades or pans were used in France some time ago that, maybe even now. The dimensions of the wheel lift remain exceptional, this is a feat technique. The largest Norias, such as Hama (Syria) do not exceed 21 m in diameter. It should be noted that the dimensions of this magnitude require a technical skill. Very interesting photo.

: 20: A too want to replicate what we see, we eventually do harm. La Noria is left too, plus it is not clearly visible (black), and there are too many sky But it is well done, if colors are real, and it's net.

OnAir in the past, time seems to stand still for a moment of eternity. 'Simply beautiful and authentic. ! I had the opportunity to see these norias closely during a trip to Syria. Yes this picture is real and these wheels still in running condition after centuries! The little detail: the woman at the center of the image under the tree with its reflection in the water and children playing near the noria shows that there is life around. And the sky! What else thank you for this wonderful shot!

A very beautiful landscape with warm colours. The arches among the vegetation, the wheels and the laurel bring life to this photo. I would have just cut a bit of sky.
