The bell towers of St Gertrude

Author 'Ghislain' (Id 227892 ) : One of the largest churches of the romanesque in the world. The original image of the steeples of the abbey of St Gertrude is conventional enough, it seemed to me that this artifice of the framework was to give him life. The abbess st. Gertrude, daughter of Pepin of Landen, ancestor of Charles Martel) was the founder to 650. The fire ravaged the building 19 times (last in 40-45). With conviction, was always rebuilt.

well yes, I like this framework and its 'saints' rays that you added are a nice effect.

The 'saints' rays, this is beautifully thought out. That there I-j thought of me even for my cover image. Thank you for your comment.

Very beautiful print and original presentation at the very least.

Thank you Guylaine for your com. Without being in orders, I spent a 35 year career in the shadow of these towers without... Ms to 'ring the bell' . See the editing where there are more pixels. A+.

An original presentation that directs the eye on the bell tower, . I don't understand what are these two elongated spots and vertical lines that rise into the sky to the left, .

Thank you for your comment. The vertical streaks ? These are huge jets of water. They appear dark because they are in the shade of century-old trees.

I immediately recognized Djean Djean of Nivelles, the jacquemart tower that chimes the hours. This is an original presentation, but I think you gave a little too much importance to the terms relative to the subject.

Monik all tastes are in nature. It is chipotant the Photomask of Photofiltre that this framework (we can measure the effect) seemed to me to be the most striking and the most suitable to put the towers in evidence. Thank you for your comm. A+.

It is certain that your presentation is successful and attracts the gaze on the steeple of this church.

Thank you for your com. According to Badagdj, there is a lack of definition. It is true. The photo was taken at the maximum focal length of my pocket. Which explains. It is also one of the reasons of framing, focusing, including, like you, I'm satisfied.
> Badgadj [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jul 31, 2016
This is a framing impressive which focuses much attention on the bell tower.
The colors are well harmonized and it forms an interesting picture. Despite the relatively small size of your photo (see link), we note a lack of definition of a flagrant if you look closely.
There is not a great interest to take a photo of a stationary subject at 1/1250s.
You would have probably had a better picture at 1/300s, ISO 100.

Hello Badgadj. Thank you for your comm. The photo was taken 'in flight' and no time for adjustment because of the impatient who accompanied me. I would have had to... When in the format I have taken the lead before FEI does. A+.

I have revisited the photo. The format corresponds to FEI : 1440 x 900. The photo was taken at the pocket the focal length maxi which explains a lack of net expansion. I'll have to return to the place of the 'crime' with my slr.

Yes, and this will allow you to post a picture to the optimal size for this format (8/5), which is 1920 x 1200 and not 1440 x 900.

For some time, I found myself asking questions about the auto-resize to 1024x768. Some of the pictures remained in my defined format particular to 1440x900, which belongs to the series 8/5 tolerated. Now the formats optimum will be my credo. Thanks for the tip Gadjo.

Hello Disco. Let's be modest : seen under the microscope it lacks a bit of definition. In case the focal length maxi pocket. Thank you for your comment.
