The drop of water

Author 'Hdeledicque' (Id 214366 ) : Here is another test of a drop of water. I like the colours of it. Even if there are two-three overexposed areas, I find that it does not interfere too much in the photo and is part of the rendering a little metal on the whole.

What aesthetics ! I also admire the patience that becomes a great 'art' in this specific case

I like ! Congratulations for the achievement, the dump is successful.

Must be really fast to do this kind of shooting... and the quality is there

> Alyph [G] [P] [C] >Reply Jan 23, 2015
The technique is well mastered. This is not a problem to have grey areas, it only serves to further enhance the sharpness of the drop that bounces. Beautiful bluish color

Nice result ! The metallic hues can make one think of the molten metal.

Very good technique and the result is very beautiful ! Congratulations and thank you for sharing !

You've mastered the technique The result is superb, I love these colors of blue and congratulate you for this sharp and clear. One caveat, however, I find it a pity to have framed too close to the wave main in the bottom of the photo.

You put your finger on the negative point of the photo I am even surprised that nobody has made the note . But the bottom of the image is not cropped. I have only adjusted the top and the edge of the image. The next time I'll try to better compose

I would never be able to do this kind of photo. I love the cool shades of the whole. Beautiful

Why can't you do this kind of photo ? You have the equivalent of the 600D in Europe. It is quite enough to make a few tests With a little patience, you can do a lot of thing Thank you for your comment

The drops are a superb sharpness and make you forget the small overexposures. Tb.

Bravo Helena. This is a technique I've never tried it because I don't have a tripod nor a remote, but you succeeded very well.

Hello Ninik,

I just remind myself that in 2012 (see picture attached) I had posted a photo of a water drop made with my bridge at that time (Lumix FZ38)
I think that I had made this photo to show of hands, but well set. There may be possibility that you manage with your APN

Bravo for this shot dynamic. The tests can make a big difference. The movement is transmitted

> D.marsim [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jan 20, 2015
BRAVO for this test to be very successful, I find that the overexposed areas gives a dynamic to the image

The technique is not complicated, but it'll have to be patient, have a tripod, a remote control and plenty of light. Not having a external flash, I expected it to do in the sun (my sink is in front of a window) and I use reflectors (aluminum foil, lid, kitchen, metal,...). I did drip down my cock and at the place where the drop falls, I place a pencil and I made the MAP manually. Then it only remains for me to position things to the colors in the water or next to be variations of shades. For this one, I used aluminum foil and the blue is obtained thanks to the color of the bowl
So much for my way of proceeding

You have very well analyzed your photo, and share your opinion.
The technique is perfectly mastered, the rendering is superb.

Taking such a picture is I guess difficult to achieve (I never tried). The concentric circles and blurred to give a dynamic reminiscent of a carousel, .

You're right, it looks like a carousel it is true that one would say that it turns quickly. It should not be to have seasickness Thank you for your comment Jofu
