The tomb of Philip the Hardi opus4

Author 'Chasseur de temps' (Id 192672 ) : Another way to look at the mourners, who, for their passage in the museum of Cluny, present the funeral procession accompanying usually around the tomb the mortal remains of Philip the Bold.
Of note for the small history, that between 1404 and January, 1406, the date of his death, Sluter has not been able to fulfil the order in its entirety, which had been entrusted to him. It was his nephew, Claus de Werve, who carried out many of these mourners. It is up to him the merit of having managed to adapt his sculptures in an architectural setting in which it is not the author and which requires an equal dimension to his characters in an architecture that is not on the scale of the man !

For me this image has many strong points, a sublime play of light, beautiful colours tones, excellent sharpness, all in a very neat .

the attitudes of these statues are perfectly natural. Thank you for sharing this harmony.

It is made of beautiful encounters in Paris. I like to detail the attitudes suggestive of characters who walk at their own pace in a beautiful diagonal. The tone of the whole is very pleasant. Each of these statues is a small masterpiece. Well seen, Yvon.

These statues are remarkable for their postures, features and rendering of the draperies.
Lovely presentation for this photo with good lighting and a nice diagonal. A shame not to have reduced the noise in the background.

Very nice diagonal... Light and contrast chiaroscuro attract and flatter the (my) eyes... The general atmosphere and the scene is interesting...
