Make the light more eloquent than words : it's great art that deserves without the slightest hesitation the supreme reward and will lead me to come back to visit you because the quick passage that I've just done in your gallery has been far to leave me indifferent.

Tones in the winter but in spite of everything a subtle glow of blue on the Mont-Blanc , image, damn well composed the tree tormented by a harsh winter will survive there until the spring ?

Small but scrappy, a tree that lives and resists !!!
You also need to resist the cold... I hear the crunch of frozen snow under your snowshoes ? Congratulations Rene for your beautiful shots.

When one sees what endure these trees of altitude, one realizes that the Nature is very strong for getting to preserve life in these conditions.
This snow ice makes me shiver, brrr, but it's beautiful !

Very nice view full of contrast, where brightness and dark are a perfect complement

> Lumixane [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Mar 09, 2013
The small tree, style génévrier, is bent under the effect of prevailing winds, a fine example of bravery The cold is palpable. We appreciate the wonderful sight on the chain of the Alps - often in the fog - when you get clear weather at the summit of these mountains jura. The Mont blanc, it is him ! Nice effect against the light.

Bravo Anne of Lumix, it is the Mont Blanc... If Gulliver had accompanied me on this hike, a large stride, it would be passed over the lake of Geneva to lay his feet in France, at the foot of the Mont-Blanc...
Thank you for your com, to soon for other photography adventures...

Thanks Catherine of your passage and your com in praise of...
For the record... Have you noticed that this picture was dated December 31, 2012.. While the majority of humans were preparing for new year's eve, I made my last hike of the year... a great adventure 'ice' before a new year's eve warm.

Thank you Jofu of your passage and of your like nice... The tree is part of my large family of trees... I really have a great admiration for the occupants of our beautiful planet... They have seen and will see again a lot.. For this one, it is not really spoiled by his place of birth.. Hung up on a slight plateau near the mont tendre, he must confront the wind of a kiss.. the north Wind is often icy which makes it bend the spine... moreover, its form makes it clear that its growth is chaotic...

> Buchsinet [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Mar 09, 2013
Beautiful textures in the foreground and beautiful landscape behind. And a beautiful winter ambiance. Bravo

Symbol of survival, this solitary tree, and tormented by the elements reminds us that everything is ephemeral and that we must learn to adapt...
The atmosphere, polar is well transcribed, you have wisely lowered the whites to mutate the light of the day in the glimmer ice-cold in the evening or in the morning...
Excellent

Thank you Julie for your passage and your com... The 'dark' evokes the landscape seen that day with my sunglasses... they are indispensable in these conditions to sunshine in addition to the reverb on the ice rink, natural ice.. The ice is easy to imagine that the forces of the northerly winds in this region.. It is very rare to have the peak of Mont Tendre, with snow, it is systematically swept by the winds, the summit is only ice and stone. Thank you to the spikes of steel my rackets ! A+.
