These niches were intended to house the hives. This wall, built of dry stones, date from the greco-roman period. The hives were made of oak tree bark, or rye straw, and were thus protected from the weather and predatory animals. The ancients knew how to do it Thank you for your intervention, which enables me to provide these details.
