Author 'Cath' : And here are the Thistle flower. I do not know what variety it is, I would suggest that it is the blue thistle or Eryngium, but I rely on the fanfada for me illuminating. Thanks you three advance. No, is not the powder on the tips of the petaloidal but simply a rest of dewpoint...

Author's reply : Panda, when I received the photo studied by the Fada, it was written : cirse of Montpellier. Just after, there was a ciste and I thought it was wrong... a Thousand pardons Fada. It is you who was correct... I'll forgive you ? You say that it is protected ? For me, it is a true reserve !!

to continue to search For Mimi, I wonder if it is not the Cirse of Montpellier (Cirsium monspessulanum), of the family Asteraceae. This plant is quite thorny. The flower heads of purplish color are quite small and very compact. Attention : the Cirsium monspessulanum is protected, respect-the. Congratulations and thank you for this photo, on the double title !

Framing a little wide, The exposure is good. It would crop 1/3 top and 1/3 bottom to keep the essential !

For cele would be a thistle fake-acanthus, I'm not really sure, it looks like him. The thistle, we call them the artichoke, wild... Beautiful photo, Cath
