Thistle hosier on blurred background

Author 'Perronnet Catherine' (Id 190118 ) : I tried to follow the advice of some of you and I started out in the blur to the background of this pretty thistle hosier, who passes very well in the winter. I'm listening to your criticism.

Really beautiful this thistle, it has the elegance. Being young, I was going to mow this type of thistle in the parks in cows. Symbol of the Lorraine, thank you for my origins. Cathy for this beautiful shot. Dan.

Thank you for your passage. It is true that in the end the thistles are as beautiful, faded in full bloom.

I was not arrested on this beautiful thistle that we have here also, for the advice, it's all been said so I donít get involved, I would not do better
The editing made me look good in the thumbnail, I'm going to go and see it larger.

Hello Catherine, the blur is well managed, but to me this image should be in portrait to allow more height and see the rod to a greater length. But otherwise it's all good proper focus.
Cordially.

Thank you for your advice. It must be said that I focused on the blur and I forgot the rest !!!

you have well managed your background blur and your thistle is well positioned, I would have seen a small frame to put this value, thank you for your passage on my gallery, Didi

Me too, I spend a little late, but I really like how you did your blur the background while keeping the sharpness of the thistle.

I arrived when all was said and Lou feignassou has done a touch-up to put the advice into practice.
Has you now to do the same.

Thank you cri, for your encouragement. For the sky I'm sorry : it was a gray day of light rain relentless and I'm still not put to the touch-ups.

I love this style of photo with the blur in the background gives the full value to your subject.

Thank you for stopping by in my gallery, I went to visit yours and I saw that you lived in this beautiful country on the other side of the Atlantic !!!

Beautiful 'bokeh' for this unique thistle . The white sky do me not too annoying. The goal was to control the focus and depth of field covering the subject that I would have just a little off center. In summary for an essay it is the mark of the master(ess).

Thank you for having understood the main purpose of my picture . I also thought, after the fact, , seeing the results that I would have had to de-centralise. Thank you for your helpful advice.

The flowers are always beautiful in the spring, in summer... but we must not forget the off-season which gives this kind.
Bravo Cathy, the blur is very well controlled !

You're right and this species of thistle is a very good winter. Thank you for your encouragement, I must say that I was focused on the blur and I forgot the other items !!!

A first successful test, the background is well blurred, just follow the advice of Momjade to avoid the white sky, and put a bit of contrast.

It is very nice of you to also report which is positive. For the rest, I took note.

It is nice and Momjade you have well advised. It does not seem to me quite like ours, this thistle.

Hello Guylaine and thank you for your opinion. There are more I don't know how many species of thistle and is known as a hosier, as he was once used to comb wool.

> Momjade [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jan 23, 2013
Hello Catherine. Here's my little advice : It would have had better position themselves on top of the thistle to avoid any sky crâmé and then, to give a touch of contrast in post-processing. Here it is !

Hello Momjade : I understood the trick and I'll try to put it into practice.

> Manu [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jan 23, 2013
A nice making of this thistle, Cathy it is net, but the top of the sky is too white and maybe a bit of contrast... This is only my opinion 'otherwise you're on the right track thank you

Thank you Manu : it's very nice to have played the game and it is important your opinion.

For an essay it is not wrong, you're on the right track I would have chosen the portrait format...
