Towpath in St Cirq Lapopie

Author 'Ghislain' (Id 242540 ) : The cliff's overhang is worrying. This is why the character is mine to keep. However, this tow-path has been there for centuries and the M-age of miserable humans were shooting painfully heavy barges.

Hello Candy. Thank you for your comment and the favorite. The Quercy is a stunning area just like its neighbor to the Périgord. Travel off the beaten track is a real pleasure. I don't get tired of visiting France.

I did a hike on this path and I have almost the same picture without the character. Beautiful hike from which you can discover St Cirq Lapopie below.

I love France. Both times I have been on this scenic trail as the region of Quercy and Périgord noir. Thank you for your comment.

This cliff has certainly been carved by the man ; but at what time ?

Thank you for your passage and your com. My opinion is that this path was carved into the cliff at a time when trade was expanding. I look, therefore, for the time gallic. And then improved under the roman empire.
