Tree Fig Tree Syconium

Author 'Nicoledesplat' (Id 182685 ) : The fig tree is native to Asia, but it has long been grown in the mediterranean countries and was introduced in the northern regions by the romans.
It is a beautiful tree with spreading habit, and large tough leaves with three or five lobes.
It is often grown against a mature hot and sunny to foster the maturation of its edible fruits.
These last are pyriform, green, brown, or purple, and can provide up to three harvests in warm climates or under greenhouse.
Its fruits are very sweet, are rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber ; they are an excellent nutritional intake during a diet. When they are ripe, their skin becomes fragile and it is difficult to transport without damaging them.
This photo comes from one of the 2 fig trees owned by my neighbor and some of whose branches are overflowing in my garden. It is also here, hidden in the trees the sparrows watch for my arrival to fill their lunchbox. :1
