Triumph of the Republic Details

Author 'Grognon' (Id 202865 ) : One of the lions, and the figure of Justice, which are part of the group located in the center of the place de la Nation in Paris.

You can see in the background, the statue of Philip Augustus on one of the columns of the Throne.

I applied a treatment on the tones and enhanced the details on the statue. I post the original of retouching to compare and see the effect of these treatments.

I find it hard to take sides because I'm not an expert in the technical issues, although I'm leaning more towards the original image, which is a bit wan. I would say in conclusion, 'You have nothing between the two ? '.

I prefer the original, more natural to my taste, but the treatment gives added strength to the sculpture, which is suitable to the theme.

I like your idea of having fitted Philippe Auguste between the Justice and the lion. The treatment tends to harden the image a little, very compact, having said that the colour rendering is more pleasant than on the original. TB
I note that the bottom of the mane has been edged with gold for the holidays .

I forgot the original colour of these statues, the difference between the two images is obvious, on one the colors are more gray, on the other, almost bronze. The editing makes the details a little more clearly, but I still have the original which seems to me closer to the reality. In any case, it is a beautiful shot, sharp and well framed.
