Typical but subject to controversy

Author 'Perronnet Catherine' (Id 192864 ) : This is a particularly well-organized and maintained many palomeras that truffent the forests of the Gironde and Landes. I do not approve of this kind of massacre that left no chance to the birds, and the men don't take any risk. Fortunately, hunting is only open 2 months a year.

There are brave people, when-even (which means that the hunters are also taking a risk. moreover, there are a lot of accidental deaths every year). I guess the top one is for the birds, and the bottom for the rabbits !!! Bravo for the content of documentary of your photo (typically, the palomeras lend themselves quite poorly to the photos. We see them very clearly when one is on site, but we do not know where they are passed when you look at the photo then !) Bravo

I know that there are hunting accidents every year, but I'm not sure that the victims are always hunters

Thank you for your interest Guylaine : the purpose of my photo was to show this type of construction typical to those who don't know.

Very nice photo activist of a construction which enlaidie the forest.
I don't understand how it works. The hunters brave hide in or this is a trap ?

Thank you for your interest. In fact hunters brave to post at the very top of the palombière. Not very far there have decoys that attract birds and when they arrive in droves they shoot it !!! The dogs will pick them up then. It is true that the number of pigeons shall be limited to the balance of nature, but this way to do so is cowardly and ridiculous. Subsequently, the courageous hunters celebrate manfully to their feat in ripaillant and drinking more than is right, in the other shelters in the bottom. This is you know it all.

Me neither I don't like hunting but it seems that it is necessary to limit the proliferation of certain species. By contrast, your photo is very successful with a beautiful light and a good framing.

This is true for some species, and the pigeons are part of it, but I would like it to do is when not even a massacre, pure and simple but a real hunt. Thank you for your passage.

I do not approve of this style. Also, I don't like hunting.
By contrast, with a dslr, what beautiful photos to be immune to these constructions.

At first I thought that it would be a treehouse for the kids ! Oh no, that is sad !

You're right about Alle : it would have been much more fun if it was a hut for children to play : though it would be a bit high, and therefore dangerous.

Thank you for sharing things about your own region, pity it is not being used to observe or photograph the birds rather than kill them ! I much prefer the hunting photo, the only one who can be injured is sometimes the photographer's awkward that forgets to watch where he puts his feet

Thank you for your visit in my palombière !!! And yes, it is typical of my region, but fortunately it is advisable not to go for a walk in the area during hunting season because I would escape the birds !!!

Cuckoo The cry ! Thank you for your visit : I am glad to have you discover something, even if, alas, he is hunting little rewarding !!!

Thank you for sharing. Hunters are even better hidden with the leaves in the trees. Is it that these palomeras not used to hunt ?

And well, not. You're right to ask the question. The palomeras, such as this one, particularly well equipped and furnished are also used by the meal well watered that the hunters love to share, between the men after their courageous fight !!!
