It is a rhizomatous plant, called Rodgersia leaved elderberry (Rodgersia sambucifolia) forming a tuft. Its leaves consist of large leaflets are green, sometimes tinged with bronze as shown beautifully in this photo. This plant gives us the starry flowers, white or pink in dense panicles.
