Author 'Ninik' (Id 153621 ) : This flowering plant, whose identity is unknown to me, I seemed to enjoy the sand and sun. I took this picture on the seawall in Argeles-Plage (66). I also did a picture of flowers in close-up.

Originally from New Zealand, it is the plant called "Lin of New Zealand" (Phormium tenax or English New Zealand flax). It is a perennial tufted producing leaves linear, stiff, dark green above, blue on the reverse, the majestic. It is resistant to wind and spray. Maori use it in their craft for making baskets, mats, skirts and coats. Joli cliché: 6:

I think it is a kind of aloe, but expect specialists. It reminds me of a plant that I almost cliché Narbonne, where she also grew in the sand. Congratulations and thank you for this nice picture.
