It is very nice that Canada bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis), Indian paint in English). A native of Canada, the orange-red milky juice of this plant served the Indians to paint the skin to hunt insects and for coloring objects. The flower has eight petals and many stamens as this picture shows beautifully. It grows in the sparse woods and wetlands in North America. It flowers in spring. Beau cliché: 3:: 6:
