Frankly, I'm surprised, I'm going to sleep tonight having learned a new thing but it is true that the wasps are insects that also have this kind of nest. This summer, much to my surprise I even photographed, I found one with blue, pink and white. I can not put the photos FEI sue if I get it out but thank you for taking the time to read and answer me.

: 1: It's a great photo of a wasp nest. And she does not make them all the same color, they adapt from where it is built. It's beautiful but it stings, congratulations.

J'arrive when the mystery is solved, but I am not disappointed because I said a cocoon but I never thought about mantes. It is very interesting and your photo is well done. : 3:

Louise, you would have had to make the pleasure last. Apparently nobody was ... I am sure you would have had many comments on this unusual image. : 4:

Michel outstripped me, like him, I think of a nest of wasps, bumble bees or bee ... Is it a glass top? : 13:

Thank you for the interest you have brought to my photo and you deserve an answer. This is a oothèque of praying mantis. She deposited on a rod, a wall, etc ... In this case a fence (there are several, is a real nursery), a white silk like polyurethane foam that hardens and turns brown in the air, where a hundred larvae emerge. I recommend the Wikipedia article that explains very well the life cycle of the praying mantis.

I had seen this sort of thing in a window sill. It should be a cocoon of caterpillars ... : 17:

Probably a nest of insects, it seems to me to see the cells ... : 14:

This thing is in a green water or is it hanging on a fence of green mesh type? It looks like a nest of caterpillars ... I leave it to others for further research because I feel I have it all wrong. A clue to put us on the track, please: 18:
