Vulcano for me it is the most beautiful of the aeolian islands, a beautiful photo very well as a wallpaper.

The island of Vulcano in the aeolian archipelago has four volcanoes separated from south to north : the caldera del Piano, the complex of Lentia, Vulcano Fossa (the one in our photo) and Vulcanello. The Vulcano Fossa is active. Its summit is a crater 500 m in diameter. We note that fumes released yet from the crater. Its last eruption occurred in 1886, and lasted for three years... Good photo documentary on this region of Sicily.

Photo superb, but a small concern with the center of the volcano is too close to the edge.
