Author 'Boucher Marc dit de Meilh' (Id 160669 ) : Vulture (Aegypius monachus) is a diurnal bird of prey and scavengers that belongs to the family Accipitridae. This large bird of prey (3 meter wingspan) is now protected in Europe. It is found in France in the Great Causses and lozère, for example, since its reintroduction in 1992. This bird is very sedentary adults, unlike young people, and spends his time near his living area. It focuses, as here, the cliffs ... Marc Boucher said Meilhan.

Marc thank you for this beautiful black vulture, probably already a little older (younger, it would be almost black). It's a bird only scavenger that eats small animals or the remains of carcasses left by the vultures. Despite the fact that it is protected and safe, it is either poisoned or shot. When you know the price (and work) of reintroduction, and their usefulness is appalling. So thank you present it to us. Friendly. Françoise.

Bonsoir FMDV. I know that the black vulture is already a certain age. I also know that it is a scavenger and feeds on carcasses of dead animals or small live animals ... Unfortunately, like many other birds of prey, other animals known as harmful, it is sometimes removed and destroyed. Of course it is costly to the company to reintroduce or better redress acts of delinquency. These acts cost and burden really serious money. I see you're still in the game and also that you have found your SLR and video? ! ... Good evening and thank you, Marc.
