Vultures rambouillet

Author 'Nicoledesplat' (Id 155962 ) : : 3: the griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus) A century ago, the griffon vulture still living in the Alps, the Massif Central and the Pyrenees. Its current range, for our country (France), is limited to the western half of the Pyrenees, where only about fifty couples remain, and the Cevennes, where he was successfully reintroduced by the Intervention Fund for the Raptors. The vultures nest in colonies on ledges or in crevices of cliffs. The single egg, laid in February on a bulky nest made of branches, lined with grass, moss, strips of skin and hair, was hatched by both sexes for about two months. The young vulture flies rarely before have at least four months. Morphology, 95-110cm long with a wingspan of 235-280cm and a weight of 7-8kg. If I talk about him today is that yesterday, I witnessed the most beautiful presentations I have never seen since

Judith thank you for your comment left under these vultures and as you say, it would have been too good that they are not exposed directly under the sun but glad they are placed so close to me: 18: : 5:

Re, have two vultures on a single cliché about to fly under the orders of their falconers, an exceptional moment even if the sun made the white feathers of some "cramées" but I found this beautiful flower bed, thank you Daniel for your comment: 3:: 4:

Re, these vultures have the look suspicious but they are well worthy prey raised there, very obedient, thank you appreciated this picture of two vultures side by side, not so common and have set aside the white "scorched" caused by the sun, Gena thank you for your comment: 3:: 4:

Hi Jasmin, two vultures one beside the other is placed and only once, hence no choice but to show that this picture is white with a little "scorched" but we don ' had no right to stand up, which also explains that, thank you for your comment left on this beautiful duet: 3:: 4:
