We Are Hungry Duck

Author 'Ondine' (Id 137046 ) : On the banks of the Canal du Midi, there were many ducks, mainly mallards (but also notice a small mandarin shy) which were scattered over a great distance. When suddenly, we saw him quickly reach, arriving from everywhere, the edge of the shore where we were, they had seen far, far before us, a person who emerged from behind a building, a paper bag in hand... without a doubt accustomed to feeding, it was very funny to see the fuss and the characters were : the most timid, the most chicaneurs, the more daring, who rode directly on the shore to be best served, we had a good time. When the distribution was completed, many are left go about their business, some remained hoping yet, others bagarraient on restarting, a whole little world in miniature, and very informative ! They are not all there on this picture !

: 5: It's true that I took it as a Mandarin, but it is a carolin, very beautiful too, I hope there still is! : 6:

Ah, these ducks are always hungry, almost like pigeons! : 1: The duck that you think a mandarin, is not one, Ondine. It often makes the mistake, for these colors and shapes of head. The colors of Mandarin are stronger and different. It is a "duck" for its French name, "wood duck" in English and "aix sponsa" the scientific name as I just found on the Internet. I feel that your mallards have beaks longer than ours. : 6:: 6:

: 5: Thank you Elly, you're right, I confused the Mandarin and Caroline! I did not even react when I Fan pointed out incidentally, I first thought it was the same! Since then, Candy'm having spoken too, I got it, I'll have to watch! Thank you again: 6:

You could not even read the comments, so I did not realize you had already received a comment on that. Well I do not think you forget it! : 19: But they are easily confused, you're not alone. They are beautiful too, the second most beautiful ducks for me! : 4:: 6:: 6:

How lucky to witness such a scene, all those little greedy, beak outstretched waiting for a piece of bread, are too cute. Thank you for this shot fun to watch. : 1:

: 3: This is too funny to see these mouthpieces virtually all pointing the same side! The beautiful Mandarin is humbly placed at the tail, he probably did not realize to be the most beautiful ... What are their values? The physics has, in animals, no importance, except the strength I suppose ... ! ?

: 4: Hello, I love a photo of course. Everyone looks upright. There is a single carolin as here, the Mandarin is also lonely. Thank you for sharing. : 18:: 19:

8 males to 7 females Mallard, 1 male Mandarin, equally hungry or greedy as each other. The colors are soft, ducks well detached from each other, your photo is very pleasant, Ondine.

: 1: It is very nice this gathering of ducks, Mallards'. Canard carolin called a 'Duck' (Aix sponsa) - I think he - also wanted to take advantage of the food distribution: 18:. Pleasant photo: Ondine bravo and thank you. : 4:

: 6: Thank you Fan! Mandarin Yes, if I remember correctly, was only a little shy, but he did not share! I've always been attracted to the ducks, they are so familiar and fun when you feed them, too bad there are none near me if they saw me often! : 18:

: 5: Thank you for your comment and your favorite setting, Mireille! Yes it was nice to be able to easily strafe all those birds so busy feasting, I would go there more often but it's not close, so if they do not go ... : 18:
