What a bullshit war Statue

Author 'Jofu' Vote for the best photo (Id 246587 ) : Excuse me for the title ; the quote is not of me but of Jacques Prévert. This is the photo of a statue taken at Utah Beach, one of the d-day landing beaches of Normandy. I publish it because I find it as real as nature.

This image is very representative of the events that have taken place on these beaches. The black and white suits well to the scene represented by these statues also true that nature. The war and the battles which have speak less, are made from decisions are often hasty, from where nobody returns with an absolute victory, but rather with a sense of accomplishment when they stop. Bravo to them who deserve more than respect, and to you Joel for this memory.

Even if I don't like N&B, it is imperative on this photo. This is a beautiful image which gives the impression of truth.

It is your right not to like the N&B . Its virtue, for me, is to see the essential. Thank You Nenfer.

It is clear that the N&B is well suited for this image, which seems really real !

A scene that is truly representative of the events that we do not wish to renew. The N&B is well suited to this image. Joel.

Alas is it that the barbarism of the Twentieth century prohibited the wars present and will prohibit the wars of the future ? No . %Thank You Tintin.

Actually, the black and white go well with this picture, we believe it.

The realism is impressive especially in the dark of the night. Thank You Domi.

I've seen this photo elsewhere, and the statue is really impressive realism. Very beautiful photo to go to the tribute to those who fought.

Thank You Mireille. As it was late and the sky was very grey, it was gloomy.

A beautiful tribute to these men who came to save us from nazism. Bravo to the sculptor.

Excellent statues and excellent photo. It is true that the wars are bullshit, which take the lives of hundreds of thousands of young soldiers and innocent people.

Yes, the second world war killed about 50 million people died, civilians and military... Thank you Ninik.

this is perfectly reproduced in full effect ! The muddy ground hints at the difficulties that will meet these soldiers and the background of nature is the action.

It's coming back to Bayeux we stopped here late under a threatening sky. It was gloomy. Thank You Cathy.
