Well I can already see a big gull on the left. Here, I know this form of charcoal production, which is ancient it is true. I've only seen in Germany and France but with the other method. When I saw the pile of wood I had suspected so I was going to not spill the beans before you make it last a little suspense. Bravo Cathy to have their photo taken because this is not common, the craft is rare and therefore it is a good idea. Good day.

Dan, I suspected that you would know what it was !
I have also seen a method a little different in France, but it was just a re-enactment : the place was no longer used. Thank you for your nice comment, and now that thou hast said, it is true for the larger gull on the left !

Me it was a company that was not only that, I visited with the high school so late 70s by this, I don't even know if it still exists. However, I have been visited something in the same genre in Lorraine, but it was not smoke. This is us out, it was steam, it was to make the plum. That is the travel, I expect the following from Cathy everything is interesting.

You're a joker, that much I knew already ! But it is not necessary to abuse the plum !

OK, I am not quick to go and return. I have not looked at the other answers. For me it comes to charcoal production. I've never seen before but the context to me suggests strongly.

I suspected that you would find : there were clues Me neither I had ever seen and I don't think that there is in France this form of artisanal in nature. Thank you for your passage.

Thank you for your passage Danièle. to my knowledge there is no site similar in France. The charcoal is to be produced industrially and not in the traditional way, as here.

I discovered this little cliche power and the manufacture of charcoal seemed logical. Then I saw then the answers.

A big thank you for your interest and for leaving a comment without having been able to really participate.

Well, no, I don't see what it is but among the proposals, I would row on the side of the factory of charcoal, though I never would have thought of by myself. You have had a good reason to make this picture because it is very interesting.

Like MADY, I would go for a facility used in the manufacture of charcoal. It seems to me to have already seen the info somewhere. Thank you for this game and this discovery.

It seems logical to think of the manufacture of charcoal, but it may be too simple, where is the trap ? In any case, thank you for sharing

No trap Jean-Paul and to your insight. What was surprising, apart from the fact that we had never seen such a factory is that it was in the middle of nature.

May be wood ovens to make the charcoal ? I don't know. Thank You Cathy.

A factory for the gassing of the wood itself. Thank you on the one hand to make us think a little and the other hand to present us this place, bravo. (TB)

Thank you for your interest. This place is not 'gazéifie' not exactly wood but it turns it into charcoal. We had never encountered this kind of manufactures in the midst of nature.

A manufacture of sauerkraut not, wieners can be or so of smoked salmon, but I think I'm going to defer to the opinion of Jofu it is more safe !!!

Not bad for all of these proposals, but thou hast reason to follow Jofu : it is a manufacture of charcoal in the middle of nature, so anything edible !

> Jofu [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jul 08, 2017
The colors are pleasant and cool. I see the wood and smoke white, I think that it is a factory of charcoal. Thank you Cathy for giving us the opportunity to play.

Quite Joël, a good do-it-yourselfer I knew that you were going to find ! Even so, we were surprised to meet this factory in the middle of nature. to you !

Beyond a question, the picture is well drawn. For the question I'm going to say that it is a system to dry the wood.

You are the first to have played Francis, so you don't have benefited from the proposals of others. It is, in fact, a factory of charcoal with sales in the midst of nature. You were on the right track
