Wheel Of The Prater

Author 'Clairebielande' (Id 69186 ) : Yet another symbol of Vienna, the ferris wheel in the Prater. Before becoming this vast amusement park in which the Viennese crowd since 1766, the Prater had been the hunting reserve of the Hapsburgs for two centuries. Its ferris wheel, high of 65 mr. Was built by the English engineer Walter Basset, there are 110 years old. A turn of the ferris wheel lasts 10 minutes and the panorama from up there is splendid. I would add that the Prater has an area of 1287 hectares and it is dedicated especially to the people's distraction from the smallest up to the largest.

Beautiful image. A small lack of clarity perhaps. The description is complete and it makes you want to go.

It is a very pretty picture, but with a frame just a little by the magnitude of this wheel, the tree is a bit disturbing.

This photo makes me think of a convoy of trailers that are going to sink into the wood.
Turn, rides !
A photo of the picturesque, for which I thank you.

There are often far view of the big wheels, while here it makes it a far better account of dimensions through the view against-diving. Not easy to frame, but the picture is nice and impressive

A nice wheel, I, also, would not have been easy to photograph. A wheel that has a beautiful age when even. I confess that I do not know if I would have done a lap, the last ferris wheel I made, I was not successful ! Nice photo.

I thought that it lacked a photo to your trip to Vienna. With these closed cabins, you can borrow against the wheel throughout the year. Bravo for this beautiful photo.

Yes Lena, I made a wheel turn. This lasted about ten minutes. The scenery on top is magnificent. The cabins are vintage and there we have a very nice view of Vienna. Thank you for your comment.

You do not perform them very often, Clear But it is always a joy to find your images, it gives us an impressive spectacle, and framed tail-coat. The branches to the left, yes, maybe, but they balance each other in a certain way

I expect any moment to see this great wheel continue to turn! ! The angle of view puts it well in value while preserving the side fantastic. Beautiful photo : bravo and Clear thank you.

A shot not easy to achieve but it is well managed. This is a very nice photo.
> Marcel >Reply Sep 12, 2008
I Personally would not have kept the branches to the left.
But also I would have done a horizontal flip. Here the gaze stumbles on the subject of immediate way. In the other direction, one returns gently in the picture and we follow willingly the path of the cabins.
A small lack of space at the top.
