) : : 3: Even if this peony is centered, something I rarely do that, after several searches, I learned that it is a Wild Peony. Its habitat is the dry hillsides, shrubs on calcareous soils, to 1700m above sea level in southern Europe and the Southern Alps. In Greek mythology, the god Pan God takes care of the lower world through a peony. The roots of wild peonies have been used against gout. Its seeds were also used as a necklace, to relieve teething babies but this practice was rather dangerous, given the toxicity of the peony. Pollen from one flower has 3, 6 million grains which is a record for a plant. Clearly seen in this photo. Did you know: 16: species of peony flowers have grown much more available, the sepals being transformed into petals. It is a large flower reaching 12cm, its leaves are deeply cut and entire edge. : 19:
