Winter Hardy Newbiscus

Author 'Nicoledesplat' A voir (Id 181483 ) : Attracted by the large flowers, as I noticed that they took longer with less maintenance ; I offered myself the big sister of the family of hibiscus, it is named 'Winter Hardy Newbicus XXL Mauvelous'.
Recommended for the garden terrace, it has the slow growth in the spring, accelerated by the heat of the summer until freeze-up.
Planted in a tray in the open ground, it should reach a meter of height ; I am amused to measure the width of a flower, I got 17cm ; the only small drawback is that she loves the big heat... and it really isn't too much the case at this time, in Paris.

Hello GG, thank you for your comment on this pretty and so impressive hibiscus XXL.
To answer your question, this flower Don't LIKE the intense heat and sulks even in rainy weather, this is why I've opted for planting in a pot to go in the great cold and violent rain.
If you chose to plant it, she will not grow up to 1m approx ; planted in the earth, it needs fertilizer for the first year, a small boost, sure to a mixture of earth of roots and soil, and hence of the fertilizer in grain, which will do its work as the need and on 4 months, what made her give assurance to its fulfillment. Watering it EVERY Day.
This winter, it is necessary to protect, from cold in general ; for my part, it will remain in a heated greenhouse but for you, it is absolutely necessary to put him in the compost, the feet, the MULCH at his feet and cover it with a tarp slightly perforated so that it can breathe and not rot.
