Author 'Papatte' : Amanita tue-mouche - Amanita muscaria hat 5 to 25 cm, red bright, graces of small white flakes that can disappear at times of rain, it may be confused with the the cesars amanita that is edible. Flesh white, odourless. Very common from July to December. TOXIC FUNGUS SOMETIMES FATAL.

This fly agaric, a beautiful red, is the mushroom dream for photographers. I like a lot the sharpness and the presentation of your photo.
Moreover, it is this fungus that it mimics with hard-boiled egg and 1/2 tomato to make it pretty in the hors d'oeuvres.

I find that the fly agaric kills-fly(Amanita muscaria) is by far the most beautiful mushroom. But, it can't be eaten because toxic.

You are wrong, this mushroom is eaten under certain conditions, it is used for several hundreds or thousands of years in Siberia by Samans. Taken in the right way, it is one of the most respected and hallucinogens as this in our society, it is simply hidden, everything revolves around Christmas has to do with them, and look for a good indication of how many times we see this fungus in cartoons, Christmas cards and New Year ! The books are not always right! :):).
