Beautiful vulture, I congratulate you for this shot, how can you go wrong with a hawk !!!

The griffon vulture can be recognized by its immense size, its wings extended and its tail is very short and square. The front of the wing is more clear. This two-toned appearance is visible from far away. It feeds on carrion, especially sheep. It is a great cleaner of the mountain. This large scavenger is found in France, in the Pyrenees, and in the Causses, where he has just been reintroduced. Nice picture

Well Hello Nicole. With Andrée, you're the second to say that it is a 'Hawk'. Sue, what elements is your basis ? I am always happy to correct my mistakes, because on a site, it is very important. Good end of Sunday. Thank you in advance.

The falcon and his feathers are razor sharp ! it's a Pity that it is so close to the edges !

Hello, Andrea. I thought this raptor was more the head of a 'Vulture' as a 'Hawk'. I can of course deceive me and I would be very interested to know the reason of your choice. Thanks in advance and good end of Sunday. !

I think it is a beautiful specimen of 'Vulture' (Gyps fulvus). As he is laid with his eyes on the watch, is that it has spotted a prey. Beautiful documentary photo : bravo and thank you.
