Beetle-may beetle (Melolontha melolontha) flying in the late evening and night, often in large numbers. These are great devourers of the leaves ! Without a doubt, victims of pesticides, we no longer see a lot. The antennae ending in a fan-seven blade indicate that it is a male. (4 females). Superb close up !

Superb close-up of this beetle. Dive dazzling. A three-quarter front would be more descriptive. The macro holds for us many wonderful things.

Superbly photographed, this chafer, the so-called 'cancouelle' in my village, in the Côte d'or. Very beautiful photo, Lumi. But the larvae or grubs are disasters in the cultures of sugar cane to the Meeting. Some of the plants with soil are prohibited to transport from one place of the island to another, for this reason.
