The insect who manufactures this nest is a chalicodome (or bee building). Bravo for this excellent photo very interesting.

I also dislodges every year a countless number of swarms of wasps and hornets in my garage. And pay attention because these are more dangerous by their bites very painful.

Yes, these are wasps that do that. I have often in my room where the window remains a long time open. They can be found hidden behind a picture, behind a wardrobe in a corner. As I was tired of not knowing what it was, my son has peeled off, a cocoon full and there was a small wasp inside.

Dolly 57, the hand was taken precisely in order to give an overview of the size and grandeur of the nest. I think it is a kind of wasp. It is true that I would have liked to make a
macro
. Thank you for your comment as well as Nenfer13 and MarieClaude.

I do not know anything, but it looks like either a termite nest or butterflies I was going to say the cicadas, but it is in the earth !

I have already seen this kind of thing and it was a wasp nest made with earth, but there was only one. It was pasted on the wall of a garden shed in metal, protected by the roof that juts out on the side. The fingers of the hand give a scale of magnitude to the thing.
