This field of "cotton" is simply magnificent! The contrast of white fluffy and harshness of the mountain provide a set I like.

Cottongrass engainée ? And it grows in the wild ? The cotton grass of our regions like the wet places and the feather dusters are a lot more purposes. The photo made a lot of effect. I would have loved to see this show, please do share. With or without the flower that hides the top of the rock ? I'm not sure...
> Hubert35 [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Nov 12, 2006

Beautiful photo, but you'd have to leave vible the mountain, the 3 or 4 major strands are in too.
> Le Fada de Marseille [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Nov 11, 2006
This is the cotton grass engainée (Eriophorum vaginatum) This plant is characterized by its stems smooth, with three angles only in the upper part. The flower is a single small spike which develops horsehair white with a tight duvet. Look beautiful for the photographer.
