The photo lacks contrast. It seems to me that these are ears of rye. They look like ears of wheat, but are equipped with small strands drives. I put the Wikipedia link for those who like details. The idea of this picture is beautiful. Francis Dominated Belgium.

I asked about the difference between wheat and barley because I did not know there was in front of me as cereals.
