I confirm the comment of Eva, this plant exists. This is the tradescantia pallida 'purple heart'. It is a creeping perennial with stems dark purple and green leaves, slightly fleshy. Its flowers are summer, roses (pictured) or pink and white. It is cultivated for quality ornamental for its flowers. I have it on my balcony, with pelargoniums, it is superb.

It is very beautiful this 'Éphémérine' commonly called 'Misery', The foliage often takes on this hue of purple and its many small, pink flowers are very decorative. Great idea to have ISOlated a for the present of a very custom. Bravo and thank you.
