Very beautiful contrast blur/net. The rider takes the advantage on the tower ! I really like the checkered red. Bravo !

This is a beautiful example of a fixed focal length to adjust by manual. I don't have to worry to adjust the depth of field with my 18/55 mm at the level of landscapes. For my Christmas I offered myself the 35 mm F 1, 8 so as to be able to do the portrait. When it is mounted on a Nikon-mount DX it is equivalent to 50 mm, so the quality of the foreground is nickel as you prove on your decision. I'm going to be able to take my grandson with a beautiful light to this. Bravo Monique for your image that is the result of the big open thou shalt not be disappointed of this objective.

Thank you Dan for your 'visit' ! Actually, you can have fun with this lens, for portraits it is nice ! I like to make my subjects with a shallow depth of field. Have fun also

Very beautiful result. I would understand also, but my camera did everything in its mode.

Thank you Ninik for your passage in part You know, I've put in the time to understand, since I entered myself in a tiny club in my town, I confess that I understand a 'little something' to every meeting !!! Knowing that there was one or 2 per month... it's not going fast!!! But... who goes slowly, goes long...

Hello Catherine, the blur/net as much contrast is caused due to a wide aperture (so a small figure !!! ): 1. 8, I like this blur in front of and behind a subject ; then I do tests... Thank you for your comment.

A beautiful work on the depth-of-field, . The 50 mm has been very useful. Who won the match, ?

The 50mm : yes, but I think that above all it is the opening 1. 8 that makes the difference, since I understood (finally ! ) that was the opening that played with the depth of field... ah, but, we should never despair Thank you for your com and for your bet in favorites. have Fun at your club.

I have the same goal as you and I use it when I want to do this kind of exercise so to me 50 mm = 1. 8 .

The shallow depth of field is a very good choice to highlight these parts of the game of chess. Beautiful shot.

Thank you Tintin for your com. In fact, to have a 'little bit' of originality in this kind of exercise, he had to play with the depth of field, and so I'm learning (finally !) to me to use my camera !!!... not a moment too soon ! Pfff !
