On being asked, this 'Grand Duke of Europe' (Bubo bubo) is in a position to provide details of its plumes and colors of its plumage. Bravo for this shot fiddly to do and thank you. : 3:

: 6: Which movement and what strength. We do not see the owl in this way normally. It's like if you entered his world. This intimate and magical. It brings out the relief and texture of the entire plumage.

Think to avoid to center your subjects in your shot.

The Grand Duke of Europe is the largest and most powerful predators at night. It is capable of killing hares, foxes and even dogs. This shooting does not seem the place to his advantage. He seized a bird or a small mammal? Here, the wings are folded when in flight, they are enormous. However its plumage is brown, heavily barred above, and streaked below is well made. Good shot

In fact, it is placed on the glove of its trainer or it pecks a 'treat' ! This is what gives this pose in particular. I found it original. I have a photo or it is on the fist, but with the wings deployed and it is superb ! ... But as one sees the face of the caretaker, I don't know if I can present it. Thanks for the reviews !

The photo is technically successful. Only regret is that we don't see the head...

Original as shot. I wondered for a moment how I had to look at the picture but the comment helped me to see more clearly : he is head down.
