I had thought of a Damier athalie for this butterfly ? It is very nice.

The damier Athalie (mellicta athalia), a butterfly of a day it is characterized by large pits black on a background of fawn uniform is quite irregular. It is very widespread in Europe and occurs in prairies and pastures. Its period of flight begins around mid-may and ends in early July. Its host plant is the Mélampyre meadows. Beautiful shot well net 1:

A crop from the top and the right side to position the butterfly in a strong point.

This butterfly Damier athalie' also called 'Mélitée of the Mélampyre' (Mellicta athalia) is very clear on this background somewhat aesthetic... That he has chosen. It would however have been better placed in the lower left corner. I would also have chosen another color for the outer frame that draws even more attention to the background, a view quite personal. Beautiful moth and it is what you wanted to offer to us : well done and thank you.

The background does not bother me, actually we can easily distinguish the colors, and the pose of the butterfly is a success !
