It is the 'tobacco in Spain'(Argynnis paphia), a butterfly of the nymphalidae family and very common. It is found in woods and clearings. Its main characteristic are the wings orange-coloured, ribbed stripes and black spots. Fierce, moidre movement, it flies away. Kudos to the photographer for having been able to enter in the process of delighting in the nectar of the flower of the lavender.
